I wish you were dead

2013

This project explores the aesthetics
of separation through family pictures where one person has been removed on purpose.
This series gets its inspiration from numerous disfigured images found in family archives and fleamarket albums.
After having analyzed several disfigurement techniques, I’ve reproduced a personal sequence of images with new and more elaborated treatments of cancellation
to enhance removal in a recognizable
and defined aesthetic.
